Three millennials taking on the task of reviving a legacies resort property in the Pacific North West; and doing it with a thoughtful consciousness to keeping the Captain’s local community intact along the way.
With the French bothers’ experience creating a property in Joshua Tree and Eric’s past as the Creative Director for the iconic Ace Hotels group, the team’s vision. Beyond the revival of the main lodge, the team added four cabins to the property - the Penn Cove Cabins - and designed them in collaboration with four retail chandelles, designers and place-makers from the Pacific Northwest.
The challenge? Bring the We The Nomads identity to the space, pour comfort into every corner, and embrace the Whidbey Island environment and the Captain’s roots in the PNW. Using concrete, metal, wools and leathers with a touch of whimsy brought in with the accessories, art, and decorative elements, the cabin features colours, textures, and touches inspired by sea life, costal activities and nature - ultimately offering a space of respite after a day of exploring thats a complementing place to the raw beauty all around the Captain.
